I got an infection under my nail like that once (paronychia), felt like I slammed my thumb in a car door. Suffered for a few days then went to a doc, they gave me antibiotics and it went away within like 24 hours. It'll go away eventually I think if you don't do antibiotics, but why suffer if you can afford a doc? Other than that just take some ibuprofen and wait it out

Garlic capsules from the vitamin section are natural antibiotics. Or rub a raw garlic clove on the infected area

Yeah thats the way it feels. I have insurance what not but it only covers so much in a year past yearlys. Gotta check up on that and see if I can go
