Some facts about me
>25/M
>Recently graduated my MSc and now looking for a starting job
>Work parttime 3/4 evenings a week at restaurant in between jobs
>Have 18,000e in savings

Is this a lot? Should I keep saving? Invest? Travel even more?

It's not like I don't do stuff with it. I already spent time on a lot of travels, make music, and generally make my life better with the money I have. I just don't know whether I should spend it more to improve my life or save it for later when buying a house for instance

travel is pretty good, that's the main thing you'll lose out on once you get a good full time job
>>
Well it depends what country you live in and what you think you're going to be earning.

travel is a bourgeois meme

get a better job based on your degreesave your $$
live cheaply

you will be VERY grateful someday if you live long enough that you saved $$ when you were younger because now you have health problems and can't work

want to be homeless street bum ? or living in some apartment because you pinched pennies when you were younger ?

The rule of thumb used to be Keep 6 months salary in the bank, where it's safe and easily withdrawn, and then start investing in less sure but potentially more profitable things.

Taking into account the low bank interest rates and your youth, you probably could afford to move about 1/3 of your savings into stocks or property or something.

Read up on no-load index-linked mutual funds from established fund companies like Vanguard or Fidelity.
