As a depressed, lonely, weeb girl with no boyfriend, I can speak from experience that it's probably not something people would want. It depends on how depressed and lonely she is, however.

And....I guess I can't speak for the boys here so I apologize. I was rejected for being this way, and it killed me inside. Just tell your friend that it's possible, but if there is something she needs to work on then she needs to work on it ASAP.

Probably not, because I'm pretty much in the same boat. Depressed and lonely. Used to be a weeb too. Only difference is I'm a dude.

I'll just say this. Everything is subjective.

Will some people hate the fact that you're depressed? Probably, they might not know how to handle it or they may feel like they couldn't help you. Or they're just assholes.

Would some people care that you're lonely? Maybe. It just depends on how much time they want to spend with you. You might be too clingy to them. However that might be how they like their relationships.

And will they care that you're a weeb? Maybe again. See where I'm going with this?

Don't lose hope. Loneliness sucks and I've been feeling it for a while.

When a girl is cute, then, for awhile at least, her personality seems cute, no matter how annoying or toxic is really is.

After awhile, the novelty wears off, and if her personality is bad, no amount of cuteness can hide it.
Being friends with a girl that's always sad can be a bit of a trap, because later it's easy to feel guilty for never wanting to hang out with her. But eventually you just never will want to, because she's fun to hang out with about one time out of twenty, and the rest of the time she's a killjoy that's always really sorry she's such a killjoy.

If ever get close to someone actually depressed all the time, what I really end up doing is encouraging them to seek help. I'm not happy and well adjusted by chance, it took a lot of hard work breaking out of my shell and learning to feel good about my life and myself.

Define "depressed." If it's somebody that just gets a regular amount of sad sometimes because they have low self esteem ow whatever, that's not so bad. But if it's someone who regularly experiences crippling clinical depression where they can't function on their own in a healthy manor with basic things like bathing, eating, job responsibilities, etc, that's asking for a very demanding level of commitment from a romantic partner.

Then you probably shouldn't call it "depressed," especially if you're trying to sell it. I know in many circles the term depressed gets thrown around casually and has lost a lot of its actual meaning, but around here on /adv/ there are plenty of legitimately depressed people lurking around or people who have seen clinical depression before, and for them the word is a big red flag denoting an actual mental illness rather than a simple inconvenient personality quirk many others interpret the word as. If she's sad just say she's sad.

I think these are two extremes. There is somewhat of a middle ground, which is where I feel I'm at. Not sad 100% of the time, but more often than a normal perso . Still able to somewhat preform normal tasks.

Not every form of depression is severe/crippling, anon. There are varying degrees of depression. If you're in a low-mood almost every day, feeling like shit, with suicidal thoughts everyday, and if this affects your behavior and the way in which you relate to others and your overall productivity, then yes, you do have depression.

I am in a low mood majority of the week, not too much motivation. But I will go through spurts where I'm super depressed and can't even get dressed. Then there's those times when I shift into maximum overdrive and have constant thoughts of suicide.

For the most part I'm just sad all the time. But it's not so bad that you can't see bits of my real self in moments when I'm happy.
Throw some anxiety in and you've got a fuckn party.

Depressed lonely girls are a meme. They just want someone to obsess over them the same way they're obsessed with themselves. No doubt they'll find guys who are desperate enough to indulge them but usually it's a huge red flag.
