Stop using steam to socialize and make real friends. It will set back your social skills a fair bit if you keep on.

You are still a kid and you are less showing sociopathic tendenies (how can anyone online make that assumption?) and just being a kid: selfish and self centred.

Best advice is quit online as a social medium except for people you actually know.

The fact it bothered you for a week based off an online conversatio with "friends" from online speaks more volumes about you than the rest of your post.

Grow up and start grinding your social skills in reality than a toon on a game.

Here's the thing and please take heed

I had a co worker who was like you, just because you think you are being respectful doesn't mean you are

Maybe your tone is bitchy or you are sounding like you are talking down to the person

Making friends in rl is hard yes but you need to learn how to read people to better understand them
Its easier to make friends online because they can hide your faults, some might call you out on it
But if you can take note and try to better yourself I think you will be a great friend
