Is your roommate dying a good reason to drop out of college
Unless they were murdered and you're worried you're next, probs not

But I don't want to go to school anymore
>>17804763
Ah so you're looking for an excuse to tell people?
I'm confused
why do you want to drop out
>>17804770
No this actually happened
Don't drop out
>>17804774

you're roommate dying isn't a reason you can't continue going to school I mean you don't even seem very sad they died...

Many colleges will offer you a "furlough" - don't finish the semester, and return with no penalty next term - in cases like this. All will offer you counseling for the emotional trauma.
But it sounds like you're not particularly traumatized, but just want to use this as an excuse for a decision to quit you've already made for other reasons.
No, it's not. Would you friend want to see you turn into a failure just because they're not around? Wouldn't think so.

Well he kind would
I mean we were both planning to drop out anyway
both of us were fine working retail jobs and working together
We both had such a low standard of living that we didn't really care about graduating
>>17804750
A good reason as any.
It's your life, not ours.

"cool"

I'm sorry to hear that you're hurting. Under those kinds of circumstances, I don't think anyone would hold it against you if you took a semester off to pull things together, or even a whole year. The college would probably even offer to help, if you asked.
But to drop out completely? As in, for good? I do not think that would be a good idea. I doubt that your friend would want that either.

No.
Just like it wont be worth it to quit your job when immediate family dies and you only get a handful of days off.
Grow up.

>grow up
You first bud
Take the semester or year off.
I had to take this year off because my dad got a brain tumor but I'm still coming back next fall.
