Not sure about the specifics, but I know the military and peace corps offer loan forgiveness. Problem with that is they require a minimum 3 year and 2 year commitment, respectively.

I doubt that's gonna happen. But 50k is a good salary. Live with a roommate and don't spend a lot, you should be able to save a good amount and work on paying them off.
I make 58k and save at least $1k a month.

If possible/practical, try living well below your means. Even if you pay no taxes and take home your entire salary you still don't pay off the loan within one year. Unless you get another source of income.
