Honestly this is a pretty shitty thing for a friend to do. It's one thing if they were just talking shit about you one day but recording it is entirely a different story. I don't know where you are in life, high school, college or just working. The only true indicator of a friend is not how long you have known them but if they would go out of their way to help you.
