Yeah we suck at treating depression the same way 100 years ago we sucked at antibiotics. Unfortunately we are all living in the wrong time for care of depression so we just have to deal with the shit solutions we currently have and try our best to get by.
If you are having a crisis call a hotline and tell them who your therapist is. They can give you advice from there if you are feeling truly suicidal. Noone here is remotely qualified to help unfortunately. Especially for something so broad.
