Ask people for advice on your NEET-related/social problems, or join our discord group to do the same.
>Wait, is this some super-secret cool kids' club where you can only be some sort of shut-in freak to participate in?
No, anybody is free to enter and help our group. Feel free to participate, just don't be a dick.
NEET IMPROVEMENT RULES
=======================================
1. Preventing your suicide is not our responsibility. If you need someone to talk you out of hurting yourself and/or others, please call a suicide hotline.
2. No doxxing or spamming. If you post any personal information of another user without their consent, you will be banned. Spamming will result in temporary loss of text privileges.
3. Please try to genuinely improve your lot in life. We're not here to circlejerk about how horrible our lives are. We'll all slip up or need to vent sometimes, but overall you should try to be positive and move upwards.
4.The #support channel is for advice only. Check #rules for a description of all other channels and rules.

What things do you neets recommend telling the doctor? He told me what we would talk about, but that was two months ago

Write down a list of things you think are relevant to bring up and add to it as you think of more. Take the list with you.
I´m having a hard time getting out of bed. I rarely get up before two in the afternoon only to stay up until like four in the morning. I just can't seem to break this habit. Does anyone else have the same problem?
>>17770619
Do you mean that you lack the motivation to get out of bed, or that you're sleeping in a lot? If it's the former you might want to check out LLTF from the pastebin. There's a section that deals directly with that. If it's the latter then you need to move your sleeping pattern back a little bit at a time.
Just a heads up to anyone looking to join the discord, post in the #introductions channel first to be granted permissions to post in other channels. Sorry if it inconveniences anyone when staff aren't on, but it's a necessary protection against raids from bots on our other channels so that we can sleep.
Shameless forced self bump :^)
>starting to make major social improvements recently
>suddenly down with strep throat, basically cannot talk for a week straight
>back to browsing this site for hours on end
just fuck me up senpai
What can I do while shut in here that's productive?
Started working last week.
So much spaghetti. But I just roll with it and act as if nothing is amiss.
WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT.
How can I speak more fluently to people, talk clearly and don't spill my spaghetti? Is there something on the self help resources about this?
>>17770765
Thanks for the advice. This might be a stupid question but I´ve never been on pastebin and I´m having trouble finding that section. Could you link it?
>>17772710
Aw that sucks. That depends on what problems you're struggling with. Check the Pastebin for things that seem like they'd be useful exercises and work on them.

Congrats Anon! It'll get easier with time, I was a nervous wreck when I first started working. It's gotten a lot easier for me and I'm sure it will for you too.

I'm not sure if there's any resources yet for speaking but there's some for dealing with anxiety. Practicing is the best way to avoid spilling your spaghetti though.
>>17772932
I could give you tips but getting it from the source is obviously better, i got better at it by watching the Fearless man channel on youtube, my life quality has increased alot since i found that channel, maybe it can help you too.

I break a problem like that down into a couple of things.
First off are you diagnosed with anything that could contribute to difficulty socializing? Are you not diagnosed with anything and suspect you may have something? Getting on a serious treatment plan for that is a good first step if thats the case.
Dealing with anxiety is good because it helps you keep more calm during those social situations which increases your chance of success. So checking out the stuff we have on anxiety will help you.
I have some things to share with you about talking more fluently with people
http://www.cci.health.wa.gov.au/resources/consumers.cfm
There are some step by step guides there on raising self esteem, dealing with worrying, dealing with assertiveness and many more things.
>>17772932
The one big thing I'd advise you to do is speak slowly. Don't worry about using big words or sounding too slow. No one cares about that shit.
Basically, don't be this guy.
