My wife.. She hates him so bad. So much so that she says she will leave me if she ever finds out I voted for him. I play it off as ambiguous but she looked at my youtube history and noticed I had watched every single cant stump the trump videos while she was at her sisters for the weekend.

>can't accept people having opinions that differ from her own
Wew sounds like you dodged a bullet desu

If she leaves you for this, then she really wasn't in it for better or for worse. Yes, she has very right to hate him and your action in voting for him. But if she feels this strongly, and all the other things in your marriage aren't enough to overcome your vote, then it wasn't meant to be for you both. You already voted, if you can't stand behind your vote, why did you do it then? If you knew she felt this way before voting and did it anyway, did your marriage really matter to you? Or did you know it wasn't a serious threat? Is she going to leave the country too? Instead of trying to understand what each other believes in and why you feel this way, and learn to live to agree with disagreeing on this, are you willing to let the vote ruin a marriage? Perhaps it was broken anyway. Why not see if she backs up her word and helps in some way with helping our nation now, by spreading the word to vote in the midterm elections? Or work in a volunteer group that helps people that are currently afraid with what this presidency may potentially do to them and this nation? She can't up and give up when there are things she can do to counteract his possible future actions. Leaving you won't solve anything unless she truly doesn't love you and will feel better and be open to meeting someone else in the future who thinks like her. Work on communicating OP and seek counseling together if you truly love each other. If anything, it may turn into a joke 50 years from now that you'll tell your grandkids....if humanity or our nation even exists at that point! :p

desu? Pretty new to 4chan. Don't have the lingo down. She is being a psycho about this election. Makes sure I am posting negative trump stuff daily on twitter and facebook.
>>
leave her faggot

If this is for real, if that's how it is, then you should just tell her the truth and let her walk out. If you don't have kids yet, you're dodging a bullet. Because if it's really like that with her, then divorce is inevitable, it's only a matter of time. That process will be so much more painful with children involved.

Put your cards on the table and see what happens. She was probably just exaggerating, to be honest. But if she'd really throw a marriage away over one vote in one election, then maybe it's for the best

Your wife is a shit person......to give up a marriage on a political opinion is fucking petty and retarded. You shouldn't have to hide shit from her. And she shouldn't be so anal about something so unimportant.

Let your wife teach you why you are absurdly wrong for voting Trump.

Let her explain to you that Trump is not an outsider and will not reject establishment politics.

Let her remind you that his cabinet picks are all establishment republicans to the extreme.

Let her remind you that he is picking a formulaic ex goldman sachs overlord for treasury secretary (which is why the stock market is soaring consequently).

Let her remind you that he has already said he is in way over his head so he is just going to let closet homo Pence and his Establisment Goons run the fucking show while he gets his knob slobbed in the oval office.

Hopefully you realize what a stupid ass idea it was to trust a guy who made his fortune conning banks into giving him ridiculous loans on highly risky business ventures then walking away when it goes under. Putting your faith in a guy that is a professional liar and swindler.

Hopefully that humbles you when you grovel at her feet for mercy.

>thinking liberals can explain anything
Your post is a perfect case study. I don't even like Trump (because he's not a real conservative), but I can explain why I don't like him without using "Goldman Sachs" as a prima facie dismissal or calling people homos.

>>17770822
This is true. Although, it's perfectly predictable that someone so virulently liberal wouldn't respect family values or differing opinions.
>>
>>17770883

You figured me wrong. I mean, yeah I consider myself a progressive, but I was just trying to show the mountains of evidence piling up that he is going to run an extremely Republican template administration.

Not criticizing Trump so much as I am people naive enough to believe he is going to be a change of anything.

Also, Pence just came out that he had impure urges as a young man and went to gay conversion therapy. Being as it is bunk and doesn't work, my only conclusion is that Pence is in fact a homosexual in denial. He probably has a Grindr account, it will be made public soon when Grindr is hacked and exposes him for who he is.

Look, Trump is going to be ineffectual, however, he'll be told by Giuliani or someone whom to put on SCOTUS, which is by far the most important thing he'll do in his presidency. He's going to be far better for America than Hillary "I don't care about the constitution/I'm going to war with Russia/Vote for me or you're a sexist and a racist" Clinton.

Regardless, OP's wife is clearly a leftie loon, so reason isn't a factor for her. If he tells her to explain something, she'll just scream at him.

That Pence stuff is bullshit, by the way.
>>
>>17770920

Yeah my tolerance for the "sexist/racist" card is growing thin. What I find really disgusting is how the Democratic base is viciously attacking those of us like myself that voted third party in this election, like it is our fault that the DNC colluding with her campaign and the media to shit all over the Bernie primary run.

Not only is their inability to math offensive to me (run the numbers, if Stein supporters voted for Hillary and Johnson supporters stayed home, Trump still won)... but I find the notion highly disgusting that my vote doesn't belong to me, that my duty is to protect our nation form an existential threat.

Fuck. That.

So done with the Dems because they clearly don't realize their smug superiority is what caused them to lose.
>>
>>17770945
I've actually been thinking about this a lot. The Dems used to be the party of blue-collar Catholic workers - Italians, Irish and Polish in New York and Chicago - and now seem to think they can rattle on about how white people are racist, men are sexist and everyone is a bully and a homophobe, everyone should be able to have an abortion like a McDonalds drive-thru, the country should have little immigration controls, etc. without alienating this core demographic. I feel sorry for Democrats who were in it for higher taxes, more social welfare, employment rights and socialised medicine, because their party has been hijacked by lunatics.

>Not only is their inability to math offensive to me
Couldn't agree more. Trump got fewer popular votes than Romney, which means that Hillary lost because Obama voters didn't turn out for Hillary, and that somehow translates to there being a racist coalition rallying to support Trump? It's madness.

>>17770977
They don't want an upwardly mobile working middle class anymore. They want a large, immovable base of DEPENDENT low-income-bracket voters.
