Just today i found out I was being declined enrollment in the Canadian military for a heart condition I was born with. I don't show any of the symptoms the doctors ask for when I go to a check up, and I passed the fitness test for the army, but I was still declined.
I'm not happy with this result, I always wanted to join the army, but I don't think they are going to have a change of heart anytime soon. I was thinking of becoming a police officer, but I don't know how to go about doing it in Canada.
If anyone has experience I would appreciate the input.

And ninetieth will you.
On a serious note, go to police college, get your security license, work a security job and then apply when your 27. They don't really do many hires before then. "Life experience" is the excuse. I am not a cop, but I have friends who are cop and plenty of guys who are trying to become one.
On the bright side you can keep reapplying to the military while you wait.

If they didn't accept me now, why would the military accept me in the future? I don't quite get that.
Apply at at 27? I'm 19 now, getting close to 20. I'm not going to wait around 7 years doing security gigs.

Just offering possibilities.
I dont know what else to say. That's how policing works in Canada. Google it if you don't believe, I remember even one of the opp websites stating 27 was about the age they hire. I wouldn't do it either. Seems like a lot of time to waste.
