You gave yourself the only advice needed. No one here has a magic wand that will make your balls drop. You have to step outside your comfort zone yourself. Either do that (remind yourself of how great your social life can be to motivate yourself) or stay in your comfort zone and don't make any friends...the choice is yours. Good luck.

Join a club team...usually their more social clubs than sports clubs with super low bars and a bunch of people who want to be your friend bc they never joined a frat or sorority

I just liked having everything around. Like how you could do coursework with some friends in a computer lab at 8pm, then walk across the path, get a drink from the bar and lie on a sofa upstairs. Then go play games, play piano, visit one of the restaurants etc. Just being out you know.

There's also events, societies to drop in on, talks, projects to work on etc. Also actual nightclubs in the cities but you don't need uni for that.

Depends on the university- if there's a woodland go run.
