Get an undercut.

Since this is a thread about a haircut I'll just ask here. Can somebody give any examples of what looks good on a guy with an oval face shape? I know that many haircuts go with oval, but I need some specific examples.

It looks like a pompadour.
A pompadour has longer hair in the front than the hair in the back, so the front naturally tends to be taller.

You might want to have a good description of it incase the person cutting your hair is a pillock - if not, you'll likely get an undercut (which can look similar, but from my experience, not worth the effort at all so I keep it kind of messy). If the stylist uses a different product than what you use, your hair might not look how you want it.

If you can find some hipster barber place, they might actually know how to do it right.
