That is the only way really...

After your first two, three, four, five dozen first dates, you should probably lose them all together.
Eventually you realize that people are just people and that makes it so you realize hyping yourself up without knowing anything is pointless. A little more time after you realize jitters aren't a bad thing, they just meant you were excited for the potential of the person you're with (I personally completely lost first date jitters LOONG ago, but when i'd start to get a slight buzz of nervousness before a second or third date, that's when I KNEW that the person I was with had potential.)
