that really sucks to hear. it's OK if you don't want to do collage right now, I've dropped out 3 times and somehow I'm still alright. psychiatric wards are very scary places though, and in some cases, based on the people you're surrounded with, can do more worse than good.

My thoughts are with you anon. Things get better, but if you feel like you need to withdraw for a bit you might be right. Just keep your focus on getting better and whatever that may entail. Bad memories/your current situation/feelings about family or friends or things you've done that you're not proud of. Things can be resolved and things can get better. The road to feeling happy can be hard but if you want it to happen then you've already started the process.

Do not go to a mental hospital. They are hellish places where you have no freedom to do anything, not even shit in peace. You will lose any shred of sanity you had if you go there.

u should smoke weed or take a high dose of antidepressents. psychiatric hsptl is just gonna give you antidepressents and you sit in a bed for 10 hrs with a nurse watching you waiting for a doctor.

I landed in a homeless shelter versus a Holden Caulfield episode at the end of which I discover I had OCD and anxiety.

It felt like forever when I was there, but I got housing now.

Hold on. Get therapy. See if there are stuff like rent bank that will help you keep housing. Talk to your landlord. But don't stay in housing if it means going further into debt when it will be inevitable that you will lose it anyways, and don't be late with rent because bad credit will make it harder for you to leave the shelter later.
