Currently I am a student in a community college, living with family and don't have a large amount of cash.
I would like to move to Iceland because I've always admired living there and would like to have free education there as well.
Is there any ways I can start a solid plan for moving there or begin to start a plan?
You are NOT going to get away free. There are still fees (though at worst they should be around $900 annually at a public uni), and not to rain on your parade but it is hard to immigrate to Iceland.
Also Iceland is not for poor students, uni may be pretty cheap but living there really is not.
However if you are from the schengen or even better, from the nordic countries it shouldn't be too hard getting there. Though finding a job is still not an easy feat unless you know the language and or have certain skills.

Gotcha, will take this advice into consideration.
Thanks.
Met a fellow New Englander there when traveling last year. Moved in with his Icelandic girlfriend and got a work visa by finding employment at the local bars in the capital. Said shit was hard and the employers know you're in a jam as you need to make minimum hours/salary in order to keep paperwork current. It's good if you have a trade skill because it's pretty universal as you can apprentice while not having to be taught as if you knew nothing.

I see...
