Well, all of the above gets different types of women. Each will want you for different things, but I find the best way to find a girl you actually care about is to have ambition and life goals. As a wise man once said "a woman is the sail to mans boat", so I believe in my heart of hearts that doing things to get women doesn't make you shallow. It just gives you an area to shoot for. I think it would be more accurate to say that the top 30-40% of women will only will only SERIOUSLY entertain the top 10% of men or are at the very least holding out for them while doing their best to convince themselves that they're ok with the other 90% of dudes.

My younger sister has, by her own admission, a really good boyfriend who's very serious about her. She herself is a good woman: good job, never whored around (like our older sister), smart, treats people well, always dated with serious relationships in mind, etc. But her exact words when I asked her why she was so apprehensive when she thought her boyfriend was considering proposing to her were:
