So i'm trying to create a show, it's got war related type stuff in it (guns, grenades, ect.) and i want to know the army ranking system.But what i want to know most is, is general the highest rank you can get? The websites are a bit confusing for me.

Just keep in mind that the higher ranks become more executive. Just like in a civilian company, employees don't just "work hard" and eventually get to CEO, like officers can't just work hard and get to general.
Be sure not to confuse or mix officer and enlisted rankings.
