Apparently we have this mandatory company event where each person has to perform something, and if you have no skills, they'll assign you something like dancing or acting, teach you what to do and you do it. But wtf isn't this employee harassment?? I fear I'll get treated worse at work as a result of going through with this.
As an extremely socially awkward person should I find a way out of it.

People love karaoke. Even if you suck at singing you can entertain everyone by pretending to be really into it and putting in a real effort

Say your talent is making people uncomfortable and just stare at them for 30 seconds. Won me a talent show, one time
Say you have a phobia about being in front of a crowd.
Or do something and be really terrible at it on purpose. Like spend 10 minutes trying to do the same lame card trick over and over and never getting it right.

think of something to perform that isn't really a performance but will get a few chuckles.
show them your favourite hobby, watching paint dry while slowly eating doritos.
