I've found that if you don't immediately reciprocate their advances fully, many women become discouraged and will pretty much cut all contact out of embarrassment. If that seems silly, it's because it kinda is.

But think about how much attention a pretty women gets for a moment. Most of the time, they don't have to venture out of their comfort zone to get a date, let alone actively participate in the 'pickup' part. That, and even pretty women get insecure. Hell, they're probably more susceptible to it.

So for most of them, when the initial "I like you teehee" doesn't land them some pipe, they purge the whole situation from their life and try to forget it ever happened.

It sucks, I lost a girlfriend I really liked because I had some personal stuff to figure out, and she assumed that she made an idiot of herself and dropped me from her life entirely. I didn't even get a chance to explain myself.

She was at a friend's place anyway so getting to her wouldn't have been super easy.

Went ahead and texted her this about half an hour ago:

After I sent that, I deleted her number. If she responds, great. If she doesn't, her loss.

I'm not interested in meaningless sex so that's part of why I didn't capitalize on the conversation. I did reciprocate though and referenced a few of things we talked about at the party.
