This is the sort of thing you tell some prior to having sex. It's like AIDS -- it's illegal to fuck someone without first telling them you have AIDS, because it's kind of like murder then. Except, in this case, it's just a shitty thing to do.

But, yeah, see if you can get some money out of this at least since you're stuck with it for life now.

You're most likely to get the virus when there are visible sores, but the reality is that they are always contagious- just at different percentages. If she has herpes 2 (typically genital), chances are she doesn't have herpes 1 (typically cold sores) as well. Herpes 2 is the worst because supposedly the sores are worse and appear more often than cold sores.
You need to have an STD check to know for sure, because herpes can hide in your nervous system forever and come out only when your immune system is down. I'd say to be abstinent until your check, because until you know for sure you could be spreading it.

Herpes is not an issue whatsoever, all it is is red bumps, it dosent affect your body at all other than that

There's a high likelihood you had herpes from sharing someone's cup in high school. Unless you're getting open sores, just accept that it's something the large majority of sexually active humans have to some degree.

You have to ask for herpes test specifically. Doctors will lie to you about it if you dont.
Yes you can get herpes during the inactive period. I think the likelihood of contracting is reduced to 20% during that time. But its still a good chance you have it.
