Hi /adv/,
I am writing to you, because i am struggling with my choose of note book. I am going to IT university next year, so I want something with good CPU, like intel I7. The battery should last longer than 3h. And my speacial wish... That notebook/ultrabook should have possibility to connect it with external GPU, because i could need to have some good graphics, and then i wont have to buy new notebook.
I saw that masterpiece, Lenovo Thinkpad T430s with I7, 4GB RAM, 120SSD and... thunderbolt! But it has a lot of marks, because it was used before. Price is low because of that, but still... Whot should I do? Can I find something near to t430s, should I wait to some better oppurnities to buy him in better condition?
I find Lenovo laptops cheap enough for what you get that I'd almost always rather buy new than used.
Problem is, that new one isnt anywhere to buy.

I just bought a Toshiba Portege for use as a work laptop: i7, lightweight, debian worked fine out of the box, and it was one of the few 13.3" notebooks with a keyboard that didn't have its keys moved around or resized in the name of saving space.
Only negative i can say about it is its somewhat quirky BIOS, and a lack of serial port (do any notebooks come with serial ports nowadats, tho?)
