Nope. I don't think I've ever seen house decorations and I've lived in both a suburban area and an apartment complex. People dress up only to go to parties and such.

Didn't realize in other countries people dress up even if they don't go out or have a house party. Still seems pointless to me desu.

That's crazy to me. Or maybe my culture is crazy. There are some houses in my neighborhood that have thousands of dollars worth of decorations. Some of the more elaborate ones even offer tours for people if they've also decorated inside or in their backyards.
