So, I have this friend, and he plans on committing suicide sometime in the next year, when he completes all the tasks he wants. He has a mother and sister, and even though he's leaving the world, he wants to make their pain as less as possible. Any ideas for him? I really don't know how to help him.
Maybe he should tell them before hand and let them get used to the idea before he does it like a week later or something, but I idk. Maybe do it out in the woods or something and let the police come and break the news to the girls. Any other advice? I really want to help him out, but I just don't know what advice to give to him, and he's really worried about his mom and sis. He's weird like that. He keeps acting like everything around him needs to be just right before he goes through with it. Too logical. Guess he still cares about the people he's leaving behind.
Anyway, enough said, advice for me to give him please.

You probably already told him to not kill himself that's why you're going through this route. Tell him he should leave a note. Even though I don't know him and this is just me being honest, he's being a coward. Life will bite you in the ass and depression will take over but he has people who care about him and killing himself for whatever reason is the easy way out.

Me talking to him isn't going to do anything, I don't even fully know the reason myself, and his depression seems pretty complex, it's not all salt and pepper. He doesn't really have a lot of people around him, except for a little immediate family.
For now I'm letting it be, and I actually think he has a good point, that he wants to do what he can for his mom and sister to ease the pain for them. They're pretty much the only ones who'd care a little
The cause of his motives and such really isn't up for discussion right now, I've already gone through all that before, it's not really an issue. I'm just trying to help contribute to making his last half-year/year less worried about his senpai, and also peaceful as much as possible. Hope that clears things up.
