any advice on how to get over my seething jealousy?
you cant
so grow up and dont show it
Think of something your better at than them. I don't lift a lot like most people at the gym, but I could still kick their ass since I do MMA

jelous of who/what?

i basically get jealous of anyone who's good at anything. this comes up most often in music i guess. any time i listen to music, i'm barely ever enjoying it anymore. i'm just angry and depressed at how much i suck compare to what i'm listening to.
Jealousy of who/what? In what relation are they to you, and why do you think you're jealous of them?
Now here's my bull on jealusy: There is no such thing. Jealusy is just disguised fear and worry, and it's violent lashing out at the source of that fear, though the source isn't exactly at fault (because it's something/someone they just are). You can't be afraid at someone for being pretty/cute/athletic, but you can be afraid that they might steal your boyfriend/job/mother's affection, and that's jealousy (as a lousy example).
So my best advice would be to calm thy mammaries and realize that the person you're jealous of, is not your competition, is not out to ruin you. Improve yourself if you think they're better suited to whatever it is, or trust your significant other to stay with you...
