Your friend doesn't sound all that much like a catch. A good half of the world interacts online, through applying for jobs, online jobs, social media to news and so on. Why should dating be any different? Online dating isn't any easier either. If anything, it's harder for the average man to shine through online dating. Women get a ridiculous amount of attention online. Even the ones who aren't all that great looking who receive very little attention in real life, still get tons of attention. Most women in online dating only want the best. I'm not trying to discourage you, I'm just talking about how online dating works for females. It's a massive ego boost for them.

It's a cowardly resort for lazy fucks and pussies and any woman that sees it as something to boost their ego is disillusioning themselves. Honestly I'd take a confident 6/10 girl over any online bombshell just because she had enough initiative and gusto to take a chance.
