Can you tell me what may/may not be wrong with my brother in law? I've always wondered but am not mental health expert

>he isolates himself in his house every day he is not working and doesn't go to family events almost ever, sometimes not even Christmas
>I'll try to get him to come see his brother and his nieces but he makes excuses or says he will come but never does
>he can't maintain eye contact with me and sometimes doesn't like me to touch him (like hugging him or touching his arm), He won't say don't touch me or anything but will pull away from me
>he gets nervous very easily and is kind of socially awkward, especially around me or women in general
>he doesn't have any friends that I'm aware of
>he sometimes won't respond to people even though I know he heard them. Like cashiers or someone that asks him if he needs help finding something in a store. He will look at them but keep walking without saying anything


He acts like nothing really makes him happy. Not in a smug way, but in a way when he is doing something most people would enjoy he isn't smiling and just seems like nothing is happening. He seems really unmotivated but has a job that requires a lot of attention and skill and has had the same job for about 10 years now.

It's very obvious he does not like being around people, even his close family a good percentage of the time.

I KNOW he doesn't do drugs, Everyone at his work is drug tested fairly often because of the nature of his job.
