Been offered this advice a bit, but thing is, I outright hate working out and this has little to do with self-care and more to do with hating the activity itself. This is seriously the only reason why I don't do it, and a strong enough one in my opinion.

Personally, exercise is a form of meditation. I feel like there are truths I can understand only when I've been worn down. There are probably many outlets for this kind of insight, but working out is mine.

Regular exercise, even light stuff twice a week, does wonders for almost every outlet in your life. Eh, well, I suppose that taking regular walks should be a start. It doesn't wear me down but at least I do walk around because of things I have to do.

As for gyms, I have no way I can spend money on it. Last time I tried was years ago and I just gave up on it. I found no enjoyment. No adrenaline rush (I hate adrenaline rushes anyways), no endorphins, no anything. My mood didn't change at all, I didn't become more confident and nothing compelled me to go on a regular basis. It's not that I haven't tried it before - it's that I have tried and I hated it.
