Always go with food poisoning/diarrhoea, only lasts a day or so, believable, common and no obvious outward symptoms. Either that or severe migraine.

You can go one step further and just go an get a medical certificate to excuse you from working, doctors are pretty lenient on these. You can go with the migraine/diarrhoea story or even stress/grief to get certificate.
