How do I be more blunt and open?

A classmate asked if I liked her and her friend(as people I assumed) and I kinda whinged and tried to be nice and hide my feelings at the same time. The latter worked but not the former, they think I hate them when the truth is "I like you guys, you're both fun people and your friend is hot as hell". Would've omitted the last part but I couldn't even say the former.

I used to have a problem with it. Then I just stopped caring about anything and became an agent of chaos. Just do it, and see what happens. That's how I'm living life now. Just go with whatever happens. Life will continue. Or not. Doesn't matter.

I used to have this scorched earth mentality. then I just calmed down and ignored people's mannerisms. Now I get the urge here and there to really tell people what I think and burn their inflated egos but meh why waste the energy
