Well you just make one and let it stay there, not like you're forced to be on there all day like you are on 4chan.

It works if you have a job in a field specialized enough for people to find your profile. Then it can help quite a bit.

If you work at mcdonalds or something then yeah it's not gonna help but it's a decent step up from facebook.

UK Engineer here. I have been on LinkedIn for 5 years. I have had maybe 4 offers of employment and numerous contact from employment agencies through LinkedIn. Like others have said it is better suited to professionals but it is also good others as it gets your résumé out into the world
