Can anybody here make me feel better about going to uni when I'm 21 instead of 18?
I'm currently 18 and due to bad life choices and life mistakes I have calculated that I will be attending uni when I turn 21 and it just makes me feel so sad!
Its not like there is a set age when people go, and 21 still isn't that late. At my community college there are lots of people at least twice my age.

How do the older socialise with the younger when in clubs or on campus and how's dating?
I went when I was 23. You have an advantage that you won't be caught up in social bullshit and are hopefully more mature. I took two year after highschool to work and save up money. In that time I also worked out a lot.
I got lots of scholarships while in school because I already knew that "muh finding myself" was a meme. I hooked up with a qt conservative girl who is five years younger than me before she could be brainwashed into whoredom by college. Still my gf after three years. Probably going to impregnate her soon.
Sometimes yea you feel like you're surrounded by kids. But there was a guy going in his thirties so whatever.
You'll also meet people that started younger than you but are so emotionally immature that that'll basically ruin their entire live first year of college.

What's wrong with that? Sounds like a good thing
Get some real world experience and figure out what you want to do in life. You don't need to go to Uni to be successful or happy or to meet people
And guess what? Your Uni is not going anywhere. It'll still be there waiting for you when you're 21. In the meantime, just get some real world experience and see what life has to offer you first.

It just feels old to me like everyone and my friends will be leaving uni at 21 and I'm just starting

Socializing is fine. I have a few pretty good friends that are in their mid 30s with kids. Most of the clubs have younger students. Dating is tough though. It is hard to find girls around my age, also being in IT doesn't really help, lots of guys.

Going to a Uni with your friends is great and all. But the last thing you want is to spend thousands of $ and countless hours of your time getting a shit degree or switching majors constantly. You'll fall into debt and live with your parents until you're 25.
This isn't a bad thing for you. Take some time off from school. Volunteer, get some part time jobs, get some hobbies. Meet new people and figure out WHY you need to go to college. Write down a plan for yourself. "I want to be with my friends" is not a good answer. You can meet tons of people outside of college. There are also plenty of older people in college or Uni to meet. It's not all 18yr old high school grads.

There were people dateing with a ten year difference.
Most people probably thought "fresh pussy for him. Mature dickings for her."
Spoiler: I was a virgin until age 23

Nice!
Thanks everyone you really have cleansed me of my fears of starting uni at such a late age and I thank you all for that now I actually fear less and will let time "take its time"!

I will be attending uni at the age of 25 lol....
>>17680538
Lol I'm 25 now and only in my second year of university. Stop comparing yourself to others, and even if you do you will notice from 20-25 the vast majority do not have their shit together at all, props to the ones who do.
Also, when you reach my age you will look back and think of 21 as extremely young and naive.

Hows IT? I'm considering going back to school for it but don't want to slog through help desk support for years
>>17681641
You don't necessarily need to. I am doing a general associate's for IT with certificates in stuff like networking, web design, operating systems, etc. After that I will probably look around for a job/internships and then get some certifications like C++ and CCENT. That being said I already have about 1.5 years experience, and you will probably need some as well.

Meant A+ but you get the point
