So /adv/ 18yo old fag here. I have a 6th grade math education. Wat do?

Don't go into a field that involves math.

Forgot to add I was homeschooled my whole life.

If you received the equivalent of a HS diploma or a GED, then you're all set to go to community college. Once there, they'll test you to determine which math class you belong in. Or you can straight up tell them you want to be put in the most remedial math class they have. Then you work your way up through the math ranks. Use the tutors they have on campus. Hire a private tutor if you need that.

At my CC, there were 3 remedial math levels and then the "real" algebra class. I had been out of school for ten years, so I had to take 2 remedial math classes before being allowed into algebra. I'm glad they made me take them, even though they didn't actually count for a grade.

You're welcome. Good luck! You could start getting it all set up this week and be ready to go after Christmas for spring semester/quarter.

In the meantime, check out Khan Academy and browse some math lessons. Start at the subject matter you can remember and go up from there. If you feel confused, don't let it bum you out. Once you get into a class on campus, you'll do a lot better.
