Going to my first college party tonight. I would really like to be sociable and charismatic but in situations like this I tend to turtle and just stick with my friends. Any tips on how to be social in general/ talk to girls in this setting?

Sociable and charismatic? Are you going to a party or hosting a fundraiser dinner?
Do what you have to do to have fun. You won't enjoy yourself or make a good impression if you go in worrying about shit.

What kind of party is it? Give some context. Do you know many of the attendees? How many people will be there? Drinking? Drugs? Is this at a house, a hotel, an apartment?
If you smoke pot then a sure fire way to make friends is to smoke people up and make conversation with em!
Just do your best to be chill, man. Have a few drinks but play within your limits, don't let stupid shit faze you, don't try to start fights, and try to have some fun!
