So far it's under wraps but I accidentally told them that the person offering the money was cheating on her with a heroin addict so I fucked up pretty hard. Right now I'm more concerned with what would actually happen to him through legal action and if it's worth telling. He's in a decent film school and he could get expelled which while it makes a good threat is way more intense than I want it to be

So he just got back and said he deleted the photos but now he says I'm no longer his friend which will probably lead to me losing my social life. I have no idea what to do.

If your "friend" group would disown you over reporting someone for having child pornography on their computer then that's not a group of people you want to be around.
Report him before he starts spreading worse shit about you. Even if he has "deleted" them, unless he's used some espionage-level software to write passes over his hard drive they'll still be there, just hidden.

Well there's not a huge age difference between the two since she's 17 he's 18 so it could be interpreted as not being a big deal. To be fair I warned him about it months ago but he shrugged it off so to bring it up seemed acceptable.
