Alright lads I need your advice.
I had a job interview today and started the job today. I did a 8 hour shift of being a security guard when it would usually be a 12 hour shift.
I now feel like absolute shit and do not want to have a job standing up for 12 fucking hours straight.
Can I just quit after literally 1 day? I haven't signed and contracts or anything, in fact i'm not even registered with the company yet
or you could be less of a fat bitch and get in shape
If you don't want to stand for half the day why did you interview for the job in the first place
Yes you should. It will be less of a hassle now than later. People will be pissed but it doesn't matter. This is a no-brainer. If you can't physically do the job don't do the job.
I was told you can quit within 2 weeks and it won't show on most background checks.
I used to work a warehouse where it was all standing 8-12 hours a day. My feet felt terrible the first week but your body will shape up for it. If standing is the only reason for quitting I wouldn't quit.

this. same goes for any job that requires prolonged (6+ hours) of standing.
I wear gel inserts in my shoes and TWO pairs of socks when I go to work to take the pain off my heels. It was horrible the first month or two, but it got easier.

You stop feeling like shit/sore as fuck once you get used to to the job. Work as a ramp agent atm, could barely walk the first 2 weeks and now I can work 10-12 hours with ease.
