its hard now but back then it wasn't as insane as it was.
I used to just eat veggies and chicken but god i got sick of cooking chicken every night so i decided to go fuck it and started eating whatever.

How much do you weight? 1500 calories is pretty low, you shouldn't consume less than 500 calories under your maintenance level.

Anyways, you should eliminate all calorie bombs and foods with low nutritional values from your diet. Your diet should consist mostly of vegetables and meat. If you have trouble keeping a diet like this you should start working out more. Cardio will help you loose more calories on the spot, but weight lifting will help you more in the long run (higher muscle mass means more calorie consumption at all times).

In fact I think it's mandatory to exercise along diet whenever you're trying to lose weight. If you're consuming much under your maintenance calorie and have no physical activities your body goes in hibernation mode and stores all the energy it can get. You will still lose weight, but as soon as you stop dieting you'll get that weight back at alarming rates. Exercising will also increase the amount of calories you require so you'll be able to eat more.

I ate 1500 because i know thats the minimum and instead of me tracking this amount as i lose weight ill just stick w/ that.

also meat is kinda iffy but i hate cooking meat. I got sick of it.
i also tried lifting, but honestly i dont have time for it w/ my schedule. Its mostly a travel thing.

Oats. Big bowl is like 400-500 calories. Add what you want for taste, within reason. Three meals a day.

Weight loss is work, but its sooo worth it dude. I find myself saying shit out loud to remind myself WHY im doing what im doing.

I use zero milk. Just dont cook all the moisture out of it. If you have to use milk, use skim. Use few, FEW raisins.

You WILL get tired of it, but remind yourself youre eating for a goal, not taste. If need be, scramble 4 eggs, and have 4 slices of bacon. ~460 calories right there, with solid protein.

Mate 1500 calories is not nearly enough for you, it's a wonder that you could hold the diet long enough to lose 35lbs. If I were you I'd eat about 2500 calories a day. If you want to push it you could go for 2000 calories. If you don't have time to lift you could try to at least do some exercises at home whenever you have time (like push-ups, google it, you'll find a few that will help with muscle development). And do cardio a few days a week. At your weight a 10 minute run will burn over 200 calories and will increase your basal metabolic rate.

You don't need to eat meat daily, you can try different things. Beans are great, for instance as are one of the best sources of both proteins and fiber. Also cereals and brown rice.

And regarding what >>17664343 said, oats won't make you hot. They have great nutritional values, but at the end of they day physical activity will shape your body. What and how much you eat will only determine how big your body is. If you spend all day in a chair or on a bed you will be either fat, skinnyfat or skeleton.

Well I guess what you call a skeleton is debatable. Thing is, you're at 290 now, if you lose weight without exercising you'll be skinnyfat. It's really hard to get to a bmi so low that your untrained abs will show from that. You don't need to devote your life to the gym in order to avoid being skinnyfat or fat for the rest of your life, even cardio alone would be enough to tone up your muscles a little if done regularly.

About the 1500 calories thing. It's not impossible but impractical. Any specialist would advice against it in your situation, but there are people who pulled it off. Look at Christian Bale, he was eating less than 1500 calories a day when he was losing weight. Thing is, he devoted his entire time to this and he had experts helping him. In those little calories he was eating he would get the perfect combination of nutrients he needed, he would do the perfect exercises for the job and so on. And he still admitted that he was hurting his body (he also regain all that weight really fast, even though it was planned). Realistically speaking, you can't do that. So you should stay with the recommended calories intake for losing weight, which is your maintenance calories -500 (except for extreme cases which you are not). Your maintenance level should be around 3000, depending on how much of that weight is fat and how much time you spend standing, walking, running etc.

i tried to do the couch to 5k but jesus those beginning ones were hard for me, i can't imagine doing those later ones ._.

also i will soon be getting a job where will be walking like 10 miles a day and i guess i can try again on the couch to 5k again. sooo.... i guess ill aim for 2000?

Factually not true. Just keep track of how many calories you're taking in per day. Google meals or read nutrition facts. There are apps that have barcode scanners and databases.

At that point it's math and couldn't be easier.

At your weight, going for a 5.5 mile walk at a decent pace is going to burn more than 800 calories. When I started losing weight I was at just under 300 at 6'1". I'm 188 pounds and to lose a pound a week I need to consume like 1700 calories according to the myfitnesspal website.

Put your stats into the myfitnesspal website and see how much it wants you to eat to lose a pound a week. The site was recommended to me by my doctor and its very good.

If you're tracking your intake properly and honestly you can eat whatever the fuck you feel like. I have lost 30 lbs in 70 days by just tracking shit in myfitnesspal.

I had a baconator meal last friday at 1 am and it felt great man.

Download that app, log everything, stop overeating, and don't look back
