I know a lot of men and women who hate being talked to in the gym. Women especially hate it when some guy tries to tell them how to use the equipment.

I think a gym is the worst place to try and hit on people. People just want to get their work-out in then go home.

Women go to the gym to work out. Not be hit on. I've brought buddies with me to work out who have tried to go hit on girls and the girls usually end up repulsed and leave when they see this happening. The gym is a safe zone from this type of stuff. Go to the bar like a normal person.
