Hey /adv/
Been seeing a girl for a couple months, asked her to be exclusive today and got rejected. She sent me a text an hour later basically saying she wants to focus on school and only wants to be friends for now. However, we are in the same major, my courseload is heavier than hers, and I often help her on homework, so I think this basically meant she's getting everything she wants as friends and doesn't want to go any further.
I'm not terribly torn up about it or anything, but I know my feelings will make just a friendship nearly impossible. Should I even bother responding to this text or just cut all contact? I feel like cutting all contact makes it seem like I am mad or bitter about it, so I thought of just briefly saying
>I understand but my feelings will make it hard to be friends, so we should head our separate ways
or something to that extent
Thanks for the advice

Just cut contact. She might just be using you for the help. Just move on and find someone else

This
You shouldn't ask girls to be exclusive unless you know for a fact that they will accept.

Just tell her that you also want to focus in your studies and that you cant help her, you also have a life after all.

Don't bother, nothing to be gained from saying that.

I had a feeling I was slipping into the friendzone, but I wasn't entirely sure, so I just threw the question so I'd know for sure. Didn't want to stay just friends and a rejection wasn't going to be a big deal or the end of the world for me so I went for it. I can handle a rejection.

I just sent a reply briefly saying being friends wouldn't work. I'm going no contact now and I didn't want to come off like a heartbroken and bitter teenager, I feel like I might have if I just didn't say anything.
Thanks for the advice guys

>He thinks men and women can be 'just friends'.
Unless you're actually gay you're probably retarded or just a huge beta cuck.

He shouldn't have sent anything, now he looks like a heartbroken and bitter teenager
Where the fuck do you even get the "men and woman can be just friends" from?

It's clear he didn't want to stay friends with her and she contacted him afterwards. having the maturity to tell her that instead of ghosting her like a 15 year old on tinder was perfectly reasonable to do.
It seems like nowadays people default to ghosting at the slightest sight of danger. Literally zero maturity.

When she next asks for help just look her right in the eye and say it'll cost you a headjob
If she sucks it you know shes a dumb whore
If she doesnt you know she's a princess with no work ethic.
Either way you win

There is literally nothing wrong with ghosting in this situation

If you say so.
