Any of you know the viability of living using a good quality sleeping bag vs normal sheets? Here is how I see it:

Sleeping bag:
-one single thing to keep track of
-super easy bed making (no effort required)
-just one item to throw into the wash on a slow cycle
-can take it just about anywhere

Sheets:
-fairly cheep
-if something tears you can just replace the broken part
-easy to throw it in with the rest of your laundry

I ask because I am am going off the collage in a bit, and I am trying to cut down on costs and increase convenience.
And if anyone has any suggestions on what I should buy that is welcome too.

you're taking it college? i feel like no one would want you to bang them on a sleeping bag

I don't care, I admit that I'll be a virgin forever
>>
If you're actually using a sleep bag like sheets, i.e. wrapping it across the matress totally unzipped, then that's not a bad idea. extra comfy and dorm room beds are twins at most.

If you're just sleeping in a sleeping bag on your bed, that's weird.

Well I plan to use it as needed both ways
And if I slept IN it I would not need a fitted sheet for the bed, right?
>>
Sheets are cheap as fuck and a sleeping bag is just weird. What the fuck is wrong with you?
>>
I would get sheets. Sleeping bags give you two options- zipped or unzipped. If it's too hot for the whole bag but too cold for no bag, you are fuck. with sheets, you can layer them and get blankets and a comforter for cold times. also more comfortable, sleeping bags are nylon and suck material feels shitty on the skin. sheets are cozy and you snuggle into them.

the difference is how dry a sleeping bag will be compared to a bedspread

if you don't wash that bag every 3 days it'll reek like fucking crazy

with the same person sheets could last a month or more without NEEDING to be washed, and if you use top and bottom sheets you only need to wash them every week or so, and everything else every month or two.
>>
Also, how is it for gay sex? I need my daily anal, or I get constipated.

You're fucking around, but seriously it's the best thing ever to cozy up in a large-enough sleeping bag with your girlfriend (or boyfriend). Best done on a cold night or it gets hot as fuck in there though.
>>
Sleeping in a sleeping bag every day is gross and autistic.
Also they're really hard to clean compared to regular sheets
>>
>>17655818
Alright, but would there be any types of sleeping bags that dont get as smelly/dirty ?
>>
Don't sleep daily in a sleeping bag. Not only is it fucking weird and while you might not mind now, you'll look weird and people will react differently to you once they find out. You'll be unwilling to let people see it and that'll create a different way of socialising at a time you should be trying to help yourself not hinder yourself and you'll likely become even more socially awkward. Also a bunch of more practical downsides.

They can't be as easily washed or dried as can sheets. They don't have separate parts so you can wash, dry or replace them in portions. You can't regulate your temperature as easily as you can with normal bedding.

They are generally designed to be used outside in much colder climates than you'll find indoors. They don't have much ventilation, they tend to get sweaty, damp and smelly quickly.

They are made from tons of synthetic materials which are practical for weight and compressing down for transport when camping/hiking, but suck compared to sheets for comfort, getting air to your body and being easy to wash.

They'll also wear out pretty fast because most of them are engineered to be used a few days for a few weeks a year at most rather than daily.

Also what are you intending to do after college? Go back home to where you ditch your sleeping bag system or move out and onwards in your life and continue your weird sleeping bag system? It is like you are already deciding you don't need to waste money on bedsheets because you are going straight back home.

Just fucking take your bedsheets from home then.

Lol maybe you should learn to spell college before you go there.

Also, enjoy your never having sex. Just buy a cheap ass futon.
