A couple of years ago, I downloaded and started using Halite BitTorrent, and it was good and worked fine. After some bullshit happened, I reset my computer to factory settings and lost everything. Now I'm trying to re-download Halite, but for some reason it's not working and I can't remember how I did it in the first place. I googled first, but couldn't find anything useful, and I'll be the first to admit I'm not super literate in software stuff. Any help?

Certainly you realize your description of the problem is too vague to return even remotely useful feedback.

Fair enough. What happens is I download the source file, extract, then try and run the batch file, but then I'm stuck. I don't know what I'm doing honestly

I don't feel like downloading it. Can you post a picture of the batch file's contents? Is that actually the installation process?

Is this enough?

You downloaded the source code. Download the compiled binaries instead.

(ie in:
https://github.com/Eoinocal/Halite/releases/tag/Release-0.4.0.4
download one of the .msi. x86 if your OS is 32 bit, x64 is 64 bit)

So you mean one of these things? What do I do when I download them, all that happens is I have this mystery file that I can't open/do anything with

oh nvm I didn't try all of them, the msi ones are different thank you
