i need /adv/ice
i found out that my father is cheating my mother
i saw his fb chat and it's obvious
what shall i do?
tell my mother everything?
i tend to wait and see what he will do next
my sister said i should block her on his fb; he doesn't know shit about software etc.
but maybe it will be too late
i'm 22 but it still hurts

oi woof thats a tough situation to be in. im a bit biased cuz i prefer my mother to my father by a large degree.
but i like to think that objectively you should give your father the chance to come clean, and if he doesn't, you will.
he may hate you. forever. but if thats what it takes to be morally happy with yourself than so be it.

If your mom is a genuinely good person, then I would definitely tell her. There's no reason your dad should be dragging her along, that's extremely disrespectful.

to be honest, i don't feel bad moraly
but bad for my mother
The absolutely best thing you can do? Talk to your father. Tell him you know of his cheating and he must confess, otherwise you'll tell your mother yourself.

A huge part of why divorce is so hard in situations like this, is due to having kids. However I take it that both you and your sister are grown. In that case tell your mother. She doesnt deserve to have to deal with your father and his bullshit.

>feel bad for mother
>ergo, keeping this a secret from her would make you feel bad morally
>you wouldn't wnat her to be even more upset knowing that you kept it from here
but do what you want.
my mother is very religious thoi'm not sure if she would really divorce or live with a broken heart the rest of her life
also, it'd be kinda strange with the family because our we have a big, very well connected family
anyway, thank you for replying; i didn't think anyone would even answer

Be a man and talk to your dad. No reason to go straight to your mom and tattle on him. Tell him that you know what's going on and he needs to tell your mom. If he refuses then you tell your mom.
