OP if you have an ugly or average face there are still things in your control. Get a better fitting haircut. Stay shaven. Get rid of any acne you may have. Dress better. Start lifting. Smile more.

Very rarely are people still unattractive after they've done all this. Not saying there are exceptions but you're probably not one of them.

The funny thing about this picture in particular is I know a guy who looks a *lot* like the dude on the left, yet he is considered hot and his girlfriend is a fucking incredible looking, 10/10 model type girl. (I only befriended him to spend time with her, in fact, but it turns out he's awesome, and she's kind of a pain in the ass. But so fucking hot.) He pulls this off through, I guess, style and confidence, like for real. Loves clothes, loves dressing up, you know, he's got gauges and tattoos and shit, drives a motorcycle, worked on a farm, totally laid back and 'cool'. Ugly as sin in any objective sense, totally pulls it off somehow. Not only with the ridiculous hot girlfriend, all our mutual female friends are totally into him too, and hate his girlfriend because of it.

I do not believe this can be learned. It comes from within. But it is a real thing.

As for girls honestly some, not even the ugly ones, have really weird taste. I got a friend who's def on the cute side (like when we hang out sometimes guys and girls are checking her out or straight up telling compliments) and her bf is well not typically attractive and she also had a crush on me and I'm average at best, I have really untypical face.
And it's not the only girl who crushed on me. It happens, just less than if I was handsome I guess. Just gotta have a lot of friends and be that mix of nice and funny but also kinda cocky I think.
