Halloween is very new to Britain, even among kids, and most residences won't be prepared for people trick-or-treating.

Check Time Out in the weeks before Halloween for alerts as to parties and party areas of town.

Trick or treating isn't really a thing in London. Last time I tried it, I was 8 and got chased by a dog in a rainy, pitch black night.

I am from London. In my area the number of people trick or treating has gone down to almost 0, and we would expect them to be children.
