I'm French and i can tell you it's a pretty hard language because we have like 15 differents vowels.
However even if its hard to speak it perfectly, you can quickly get to a level where you'll get understood and manage your way out.
If you have motivation, just work it a little bit everyday, listen to french music and watch french movies.
