We have so many depression threads on this board it's time we start having some happiness threads.
What do YOU do to make yourself happy? What advice do you give other people so they too can make themselves happy?
Your answer may be specific or general as you wish. Let's hear 'em.
I'm naturally optimistic and resilient. I don't really know how I'd advise people to develop those traits though.
I personally find pushing my comfort boundaries makes me happy, the exhilaration of doing something new that I am not necessarily comfortable with is such a joy.

pursue your goals and dont be so afraid of failure

It's possible to develop optimism, you have to promote positive thought patterns. Resilience is harder, I have always been stubborn only recently have I started finding the good out of perceived bads
