> My girlfriend of 2 years suffers from severe depression.
> I've tried to be understanding but have had problems with being *blue* in the past and my method of coping has always been to ignore it and force it out with metal music / vidya / exercise etc.
> Girlfriend and I have few interests in common, less now cause she doesn't play vidya with me anymore cause of depression.

Ignoring it isn't really coping, you're not understanding why it happens.
Every case is different so trying to explain it is difficult. Just imagine your absolute worst day, and then imagine a week/month/year of that. It's not rational or logical, it just is.
Young man you need to let her know that she needs to snap out of this or you're not going to be her codependent anymore.

I'm afraid I'll fall back into depression and become an unlovable disappointment (again)
I'll try spending more time with her thanks m8's
