Everything you're trying to reach - by taking the low way round - you could have right now, this moment. If you'd only stop thwarting your own attempts. If you'd only let go of the past, entrust the future to Providence and guide the present towards reverence and justice.

Basically, sit down and define some goals you want to achieve in your life and try to make a clear path from where you are to them.
Entrust your plans to one or two of your best friends and keep them informed of your progress
Stay away from naysayers
Read some books about stoicism if you'd like.
