Is going bowling an alright first date? I already know her a little, from chatting in class.
How do I ask a girl to bowl? It seems weird to just walk up to her and ask if she wants to go bowling. Should I just ask her to go on a date generally and then bring up bowling as an idea?

Bowling is a group activity IMO, not a two person thing. Just ask her out to coffee and then suggest going for a walk if the date goes well. If it's still going well, then suggest dinner.
