Prognosis for MS isn't as bad as it used to be. It is a big scary word, but a lot of people with MS live long and stay healthy for a long time.
Around 40% of people with MS survive till their 70s, and a lot of them are healthy enough to be independent 20 years after the first diagnosis.

Some things you might want to do are
>Find a good centre to take care of your wife;
>Have family members or people you can trust close to you, so they can help you taking care of the kids and of her when she gets acute episodes;
>Find a support group
>Take things one day at time - you don't know how it is going to be, and it might be better than you expect
